Lantimar Yachting is sponsoring the SuperYacht Management Fiscal Meeting

The Balearics is one of the most popular cruising grounds on the Spanish coastline and due to numerous confusing changes to the Spanish regulatory landscape, a specialised one-day meeting is to be held on the 26th April sponsored by Lantimar Yachting covering all of the implications, legalities and opportunities for any yacht wishing to operate commercially in these waters.

Th SuperYacht Management Fiscal Meeting, will be an instructional day of seminars and panel debates and is scheduled to take place on the 26th April 2016, in the Spanish superyacht hub of Barcelona.

Lantimar Yachting, an expert in the nautical sector in the Balerics spoke to Yachting Pages about this welcomed event, “Lantimar is delighted to announce that we are sponsoring in the SuperYacht Management Fiscal Meeting to cover all of the complicated legal procedures for yachts operating/chartering in Spanish waters/ports.

“Lawyers, advisors, government officials, customs officers and other key individuals will also participate in an insightful series of discussions and panel debates. Those in attendance will leave with a comprehensive knowledge of how to operate in Spain, from a legal, operational and fiscal standpoint.

“Key areas that will be covered include:

  • Spanish Tax Treatment of Superyachts: How to operate legally and fiscally in Spain.
  • EU v Non EU Flags / Commercial v Private – How the authorities will treat you?
  • Port State Control, Berthing, Customs & the Authorities – What will happen in Spain?
  • To charter or not to charter in Spain, that is the question? An open debate with the Spanish industry experts.”
