Due to the exponential growth of the superyacht industry in Malta and the Medit over the last few years, Salvo Grima have been approached by several superyacht personnel requesting a selection of fine wines delivered to their yacht within short time constraints.

This year Salvo Grima have positively reacted to this increase in demand and have successfully turned its Mediterranean Quarry Wharf 18^th century store into a temperature controlled wine cellar that accommodates a wide range of carefully selected wines. The range of wines available include a collection of the finest Grand Crus such as Chateau Petrus and Chateau Latour, to the more niche vintage ports, Armagnac and Sherries from several of the great years. If a yacht is after the more  flamboyant Remy Martin Louis XIII or the 50 year old Balvenie scotch whisky selling at €40,000  a bottle Salvo Grima are promising deliveries direct to yachts anywhere in the Mediterranean basin within one week. A fine assortment of the best Cuban cigars and fine cut tobacco are also part of the assortment on offer.

The cellar is perfectly located in Malta just at the center of the Mediterranean on the water’s edge, giving your sommelier the added benefit of seeing and possibly tasting some of the wines before purchasing. This quick and easy access has already gone down well with many of the super yacht pursers frequenting the Maltese waters. Private wine tasting sessions are also held on request by Salvo Grima wine consultant and local wine guru Michael Tabone.
