Lurssen delivers 95m Madsummer

German shipyard Lurssen has delivered its 95-metre (312-foot) superyacht Madsummer.

After successfully completing sea trials in the Baltic Sea, the yacht is now en route to Gibraltar.

Previously known as Project Fiji, Madsummer first hit the water in mid-March. Sold by Moran Yacht & Ship in September 2016, the steel and aluminium yacht boasts exterior design by Harrison Eidsgaard and contemporary modern interiors by Laura Sessa Design.

At Monaco Yacht Show in 2016, Rob Moran announced that a long-time American client had bought Madsummer. He also confirmed that she would have a 12-metre superyacht swimming pool, large spa and big diving areas.

Madsummer is helicopter-ready, storing a helicopter on the bow, and is capable of worldwide cruising. Other key features include a beach club with a sea terrace, and a skylight in the upper deck. Accommodation on board is for up to 20 guests across ten spacious suites.

Other superyacht projects currently being developed by Lurssen include the 142-metre (466-foot) Project Redwood, which was launched in January and has a scheduled delivery date of 2020.
