MarQuip has opened a new engineering facility in the Netherlands, to enhance its ability to offer fully-custom exhaust services, and to increase its independence from sister company Discom.
The new location in Alblasserdam features the latest software and engineering tools, and is fully dedicated to the design and engineering of underwater and water-cooled exhaust systems for superyachts.
Dennis Bravenboer, general sales manager at MarQuip, explained, “As a sales and engineering company, MarQuip will continue to work closely with our manufacturing partners to create the hardware we devise with our clients.
“The move enhances our ability to offer clients a truly bespoke service that reflects the demanding nature of the superyacht projects in which we are involved.”
In light of its achievements with IMO Tier III-certified exhaust systems, and successes in its other projects, Bravenboer added, “Our new facility and way of working means we can respond quicker and make our overall service even better. We are also prepared for further growth, reflecting the increasingly specialist nature of our work.
“MarQuip can now take on more and bigger projects at the same time, optimising the interaction with yards, owners, management companies and captains to improve the quality of their exhaust systems.”
