Max Zhivov unveils Sky Ya superyacht concept

Yacht designer Max Zhivov has unveiled his latest superyacht design concept, known as Sky Ya.

Zhivov describes her as a semi-displacement hybrid motor yacht, combining modern yacht design with the latest solar energy technology to produce a vessel with a clear environmental consciousness.

Sky Ya features an ecological theme, and according to Max Zhivov, solar panels are ideally located to soak up the most of the sun's rays. There is also a unique garden feature, giving the owner and guests a green, natural space out at sea.

Amongst her other notable features is the use of glass in the main salon, with full height windows allowing guests ‘to enjoy sea views and to flood the interior with natural light’. There is also room for a crew of 10 on board, and she is expected to achieve a cruising speed of 18 knots.

This is the second superyacht design released by Zhivov in recent weeks which focuses on sustainability and energy saving technologies. The first of these designs was his recent ‘Sun Catcher’ superyacht concept.
