Monaco Marine has announced the completion of technical works on its first superyacht client at its brand-new shipyard in Marseille, France.

The iconic 60-metre (197-foot) Amels 199 Limited Editions superyacht Madame Kate was booked into Monaco Marine Marseille for a two-week technical overhaul to prepare her for her summer season. 

According to Monaco Marine, works completed included a Lloyd’s-approved hull survey with underwater works to replace her hull valves; hydraulic works on her steering and stabilisers; paint touch-ups; new stainless-steel fittings with a mirror finish; anchor pocket polishing; and piping modification and repair in her technical spaces.

The Marseille shipyard is the eighth facility for Monaco Marine, equipped with a 320-metre dock, ISPS area, and two 250-square-metre workshops, giving a total of 8,700 square metres of ground space. As such, it can accommodate some of the world’s largest superyachts.

Monaco Marine said of its new facility, “Thanks to its new installation, Monaco Marine can now prepare and welcome short maintenance period[s] with an adaptable capability on its facility corresponding to the specific needs of each client.”

Upon completion of her works, Monaco Marine reported that Madame Kate left the shipyard for the eastern side of the French Riviera in very good conditions.
