Monaco Yacht Show announces competitors of 6th Superyacht Awards Ceremony

Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) has unveiled the 18 superyachts that will be competing in the 6^th MYS Superyacht Awards Ceremony on 24^th September, one day before the show gets underway.

All candidates are new builds over 40 metres (113 feet), delivered since the end of last year. They will have their world premiere at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show.

The yachts competing are as follows:

• Bintador (49.9m / Tankoa Yachts)
• Dragon (79.5m / Columbus Yachts)
• DreAMBoat (90m / Oceanco)
• Excellence (79.95m / Abeking & Rasmussen)
• Here comes the sun (83m / Amels)
• Joy Rider (45m / Damen)
• Lilium (47.50m / Bilgin Yachts)
• Majesty 140 (43.10m / Gulf Craft)
• Mangusta Gransport 45 (45m / Overmarine)
• Metis (63m / Benetti)
• CRN 135 (79m / CRN)
• Bold (85m / Silveryachts)
• Navetta 42 (41.8m / Customline - Ferretti Group)
• Race (50m / Riva - Ferretti Group)
• Tis (111m / Lürssen)

The 18 superyachts meet the criteria defined by the judges, allowing them to compete in the four categories of the ceremony.

The four categories are:

• The MYS/RINA Award – rewards the eco-friendliest superyacht whose construction complies with a series of performance specifications as defined by the Italian classification company RINA
• The MYS Interior Design Award - is given to the superyacht, which design and bespoke work made on the interior areas enhance an exceptional quality of comfort, features and aesthetics
• The MYS Exterior Design Award - honours the superyacht which exterior design is the most innovative and refined
• The MYS Finest New Superyacht Award - is given to the superyacht that meets the refinement criteria for both its interior and its exterior design and its sustainable innovations or development

The eclectic panel of journalists who will be voting consists of Hillary Buckman of Ocean Magazine, Merijn de Waard of The Superyacht Times, Nabil Farhat of The World of Yachts and Boats, William Mathieson of Superyachtnews.com and Christina Tsangaris of Superachts.com.

On the following day of the ceremony, visitors to the Monaco Yacht Show will find the winning vessels and all other candidates on display in Port Hercules, among the 44 new builds experiencing their world premiere.
