In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
Mondomarine has announced the launch of 60m semi-displacement M/Y Sarastar, the yard’s largest launch to date.
Sarastar is now the 65th yacht to be built by Mondomarine, and alongside her at the launch was 49m Ipanema, which had been officially launched in June and features a striking red hull. Both yachts are now due to be presented at Monaco Yacht Show at the end of the month.
The launch ceremony took place at Mondomarine’s shipyard in Savona, attended by her owner, selected guests and members of the press. According to Roberto Zambrini, the yard’s CEO and co-owner, Sarastar is the largest all-aluminium yacht built in Italy.
The interior and exterior design of Sarastar has been designed by Luca Dini. Speaking at the ceremony, the designer said, “These two yachts send out an important message in a market that is overly directed towards northern Europe. Together, I believe they show that Italian design, style and elegance has no rivals.”
The owner of Sarastar, a repeat client of Mondomarine added to this, commenting, ”Italian craftsmanship is something you won’t find anywhere else in the world, which is why I choose to build here in Italy and not in northern Europe.”
During the ceremony, Roberto Zambrini revealed that Sarastar was the result of over 45,000 hours of in-house design and engineering. He also commented that her launch now represents a challenge to its main European competitor, Heesen Yachts.
