New Sport Utility Yacht Nemo 44 ready to build

A concept for a sport utility yacht, Nemo 44, has been developed by brokerage and yacht management firm MC Yacht & Co., and French shipyard Ocea Yacht.

Designed by Fulvio De Simoni for Aldo Manna of MC Yacht & Co., Nemo 44 is 44 metres long and will be entirely built of aluminium. Weighing in at 360 gross tons and with a draft of 1.95 metres, its estimated cost is well under 20 million euros.

The yacht has been designed as a ‘floating resort’ in order to appeal to today’s modern yacht owner, and includes a 25sqm beach club and Jacuzzi. Final layout options will be open to the owner’s request, and there are spacious guest areas available on board despite the yacht’s total weight being below 500 gross tons. Nemo 44’s anticipated best cruise will be 12 knots, and the yacht will be fitted with twin Caterpillar power.

There’s a half deck of secondary tender space aboard Nemo44 for a sportfisherman, sailboat or even a catamaran. Ocea Yachts and Fulvio di Simoni also collaborated with FunAir to ensure that any inflatable toys installed, such as a slide or climbing wall can be deployed over the side.
