UK Superyacht specialist Pendennis has announced over the weekend that the newly extended 74.5-metre (244.4-foot) MY Lady E has launched, following an extensive refit programme at its Falmouth facility.
Fresh from Pendennis’ dry dock, MY Lady E emerged on Saturday morning (12th September 2020) and was promptly moved to the yards 7,564-square metre wet basin for final commissioning work ahead of a series of sea trials over the coming weeks.
A major component of the yacht’s refit has been the addition of a 6-metre stern extension. The result of which has been an extra 120-square metre of guest space across her lower and main decks. Future guests on board will now be able to enjoy a brand new 60-square metre beach club on the lower deck and additional guest seating and sunbathing areas on the main deck aft. On the bridge deck the decision was taken to further improve the yacht’s guest facilities with the installation of a fully equipped health and wellbeing suite. Finally, the yacht has benefited from the application of top coat on her exterior bulwarks and high UV areas.
As well as the visible external and internal improvements, a comprehensive programme of engineering and AVIT works was completed by the technical experts at Pendennis, alongside a team of leading industry contractors. Key elements included the installation of three new generators, the overhaul of the main engines and service work carried out on all major systems.
Pendennis is set to release further details on the project later this month as the yacht prepares to depart Falmouth, and head into her upcoming charter season.
