In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
Italian studio P G Yacht Design has collaborated with Francesco Castello of The Design Crew for a new 43m concept, named Alter Ego.
Alter Ego’s exterior uses large clear spaces and extensive use of glass, juxtaposed with strong lines; according to the designers, this creates an exterior characterised by “rigid, rigorous and rational geometries”.
The interiors use glass and natural materials such as onyx to create a natural and light design, starting with the large glass sliding door separating the main deck cockpit from the saloon. In the saloon, the large unobstructed windows give guests maximum views of the surrounding areas, and low lying, informal furniture and glass encased stairs allow light to travel freely throughout the space. The generous use of natural light continues into the owner’s accommodation on the main deck; the cabin features two fold-out balconies situated on either side of the space. The cabin also features a free standing bath and floor to ceiling glazing by a vanity unit.
Alter ego sleeps eight guests in four cabins, made up of two twins and two doubles, while the crew quarters allow for up to nine staff, including the captain’s cabin situated on the bridge deck.
The upper deck saloon also features wide expanses of glass to optimise natural light, while the spacious superyacht sundeck allows for alfresco dining under the shade of the hardtop.
She features two superyacht spa pools, one on the foredeck and one parallel to the fold-out swim platform, as well as a variety of other exterior relaxation spaces.
