Palma Operation Expanded by Global Services

To support both operational yachts and refit projects in Palma, qualified marine engineer Paul Madeley has joined the Global Services team. His solid superyacht engineering background ensures he is well placed to help and advise crew and management teams on effective procurement for engineering equipment and supplies. Paul comments, “My aspirations are to build client awareness that Global Services can really add value by assisting crew to specify and source the right equipment at the right price, in the right place.”

A UK Chartered Engineer and Qualified Ship Superintendent, Paul’s experience includes technical management on a number of new build projects as well as assisting on-board crew with surveys prior to refit. His skills make him a huge asset to the Global Services sales team, enabling him to advise on-board engineers and crew from first-hand experience.

Palma has long been a mainstay port for the yachting industry and a natural choice in which to extend the Global Services operation.  Managing Director, Richard Gardiner, explains, “Customers are savvy, they want the best service but at the right price. Increasing our presence on the island and having experts in engineering as well as galley and interior helps us to better serve customers in the area.”

For the past four years Palma agent Angie Lenton has supported the Global Services Operation on the island. A former superyacht chef, Angie comments, “I’m delighted to welcome Paul to Global Services Palma. He brings a wealth of engineering knowledge which compliments my specialism in galley and interior supply. Between us we have years of sueryacht experience across all department making our customer offering in Palma stronger than ever before.”
