Palmawatch expands refit capabilities with the addition of new ‘PalmaFits’ division

Palmawatch has announced the upcoming launch of a new dedicated refit project management division for superyachts, which will increase the length of vessels the refit specialist is currently able to handle inside the STP shipyard.

Set to be officially launched at the Palma Superyacht Show, taking place between 28^th April and 2^nd May, ‘PalmaFits’ will handle major refit projects on vessels up to 60m long, supported by a team of dedicated project management specialists. 

Palmawatch managing director, Pierre Oberon explained, “Established some 15 years ago, Palmawatch has more recently seen the demand for ever larger total refit projects increase. Having seen our business, and demand for refit grow even more throughout 2016, we are now further expanding with the addition of a new refit project management division, which will be known as PalmaFits.

“PalmaFits will significantly enhance the current capacity of our business, handling major projects on vessels up to 60-metres in length. It will be a high-performance offering to attract discerning owners, captains and managers of large luxury yachts that require a full competence-managed refit realisation programme. 

“The aim is to offer a fully transparent and distinctly professional service for yachts from 25m to 60m LOA, who are planning to refit in Palma. Where the services are not offered in house, we will continue to hand select and subcontract the best specialists for each project, or get bids and present various price/quality options to the customer, based on our long-term experience of the local markets.”

Palmawatch will be exhibiting at the Palma Superyacht Show dockside in its new Refit & Repair sector, and answering questions about the new PalmaFits division.
