Perini Navi sells ‘top secret’ Picchiotti yacht

Perini Navi Group has announced the sale of two new Picchiotti motoryachts over the last seven days, one of which is described as a ‘top secret’ prototype. These mark the first sales from the company in three years.

The first contract of the week was signed for a full-displacement, steel PY 52m motoryacht, which will be built at the group's Picchiotti Yachts' shipyard in La Spezia, to be delivered in 32 months time.

According to Perini Navi, the PY 52m has “the distinctive details that characterise the Picchiotti fleet, which includes M/Y Exuma 50m, M/Y Galileo G 55m and M/Y Grace 73m”.  She will have an expansive beach club with spa, gym and sea-level lounge, as well as a forward-facing owner’s cabin on the upper deck.

Concurrently, Perini Navi signed a contract for what it brands to be “an innovative, aluminium motor yacht” and “‘top secret’ prototype”, conceived by the Perini Navi Innovation Centre in Viareggio.

Based on the special requests of her new owner, the yacht “reflects the company’s latest advancements in design and engineering as they relate to eco-compatibility, noise/vibration reduction, and will incorporate leading-edge navigation technology to enhance on-board security”, according to the yacht builder.

Fabio Boschi, chairman of Perini Navi said, “The conclusion of two sales contracts is an important confirmation of the efficacy of our chosen path, focusing on our products and distinctive quality.

“Despite the extremely competitive nature of today’s market, we are confident about further developments of important on-going initiatives, thanks also to the extraordinary reputation of our companies and the pride and competence of those who work with us.”

The new sales will build on the success of Perini Navi's three previous motoryachts to date, and will mark the first since the Picchiotti brand relaunched in January 2016 under the 'PY' Picchiotti Yachts label.
