Pettit Marine Paint wins ‘most innovative marine company’ award

Pettit Marine Paint has been selected as the winner of the ‘most innovative marine company’ by Sounding Trade Only at this year’s International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference in Tampa, FL.

Throughout the struggles of 2020, Pettit successfully continued to drive creative and strategic innovation both internally and externally. It overcame challenges by focusing on key strategic areas – primarily research and development (R&D) and manufacturing. Through improvement in R&D labs, improving and increasing warehouse and shipping capacity, and investing in its people, Pettit was able to introduce 12 new products to the market while maintaining prompt customer service.

Among the key products added to the portfolio include multi-season, triple-biocide antifouling paints Odyssey®, Triton and Trinidad® XSR. These powerful antifouling paints have both industry-leading biocide technology while also being environmentally friendly. HRT® ECO is an ECONEMA® based aerosol antifouling solution that is safe for all underwater metals. AnchorTech® Adhesives and Sealants were also launched into the market. These new adhesives are easy to use, feature leading edge technology and aggressively priced.

In addition to these new products, Pettit introduced the industry-leading Hull Defense (HD) Warranty. These 18- and 24-month limited warranties surpass anything existing in the marketplace today.

Scott Townsend, Pettit president, said, “We are honoured to be recognised by the industry as one of the most innovative companies in 2021. Innovation this day and age is no longer optional. We have aggressively invested in people, capacity and culture to drive innovation in coatings with real technology gains while delivering a customer-centric experience.

“The best is yet to come and we are excited to be part of this great industry of innovators.”
