Princess outlines fresh details about Y85

British yard Princess has unveiled new information about its forthcoming 26.2-metre (86-foot) flybridge motor yacht, Y85. The yacht will be hand-built in Plymouth and has been designed by the Princess in-house design studio, in close collaboration with naval architects Olesinksi and Italian styling house Pininfarina.

According to the yard, the design team “focused as much on interior layout as on exterior elegance” and that “light, space and guest comfort will define” the Y85 model.

The yacht revolves around al fresco living and features a large dining area situated opposite a wet bar, barbecue and fridge. Either side of the helm are a large aft sunpad and forward-facing seating area, while the bow area features a U-shaped seating area.

Elsewhere, the sunbeds feature adjustable teak headrests and transform into aft-facing sofas, while an aft-mounted swim platform allows those on board to enjoy a dip in the water.

Y85 also incorporates a number of dining and entertainment areas. On the main deck, a U-shaped aft seating area moves forward to a circular dining area adjacent to the galley. A separate wheelhouse and side-deck doors have been designed to allow crew to move discretely around the yacht.

Accommodation is for up to eight guests across four en-suite cabins. The master cabin will be lit by natural light via two large windows and boasts a dressing room equipped with both wardrobes and drawers. It is also fitted with the latest Naim UHD LED television, which the yard states will be the most highly developed audio system to feature as standard on a luxury motor yacht.

Power will come from a pair of MAN V12 engines for a top speed of 33 knots.
