Princess Yachts CEO joins Aston Martin board

Princess Yachts’ international executive chairman and CEO, Antony Sheriff, has joined the board of directors at Aston Martin, the iconic British sports car brand.

”Antony remains the full-time executive chairman & CEO for Princess Yachts and continues to steer the team in making Princess the best luxury boat builder in the world,” read a statement from the builder. “On a personal level, we are delighted for Antony and his new appointment. On a professional level, we are truly excited to see where this synergy could take the two complementary prestigious brands."

Sheriff, who was appointed chairman of the UK boat builder in January 2016, is no stranger to the car business. He joined Princess Yachts from McLaren Automotive where, over a decade as managing director, he built McLaren’s road car division and turned it into a leading global force in the world of luxury cars.

Under his leadership, McLaren conceived a range of groundbreaking supercars such as the MP4-12C, 650S, 570S and P1, and launched them to market with great success.
