Proex expands team with new water-mist specialist

Offered By Proex Marine Fire Protection

Marine fire safety expert Proex has announced the appointment of its new water-mist specialist, who has been maintaining and installing these systems for over ten years for one of the major manufacturers.

Contrary to popular belief, maintenance can only be performed by the system manufacturer when the system is under guarantee. Once expired, there is no need to ask the manufacturer to perform this maintenance. Proex now offers an alternative solution.

Proex can maintain the water-mists systems, providing a Lloyds Register certificate.

Since the beginning of 2020, Proex’s water-mist specialist has been at hand to perform this activity, on top of all other fire protection systems maintenance and installation.

On top of water-mist and other fire protection systems, Proex also delivers fire prevention services for a plethora of materials – including carpets, curtains, mattresses, pillows and upholstery – to ensure they are flame retardant, in line with IMO regulations, and providing a two years certificate.

Meanwhile, Proex has announced that it also offers revolutionary COVID-19 textile disinfection and protection services.

Sebastiano Dubini of Proex, commented, “At present, the common disinfection systems for textile elements eliminate the virus up to the time of treatment. From this moment, until the next treatment, the coronavirus may contaminate the textiles again. Proex treatments continuously eliminate and inactivate the viruses that the textiles will come in contact with for more than 100 washes. Our fire prevention and anti-COVID-19 treatments leave the tactile properties of the tissues unchanged, to the point that you will not be able to notice them.”
