Purser Trainer has been awarded the Best Superyacht Crew Training Award at the ACREW Superyacht Business Awards 2021. Purser Trainer launched in March 2018 as the first online training platform for yacht pursers and has worked diligently in obtaining international recognition and accredited certifications through IAMI and GUEST.

Students who enrol in this program receive one-on-one training with the director, Angela Wallace, and are guided through a robust training program in preparation to fulfil the role as purser on board a superyacht. The course content includes, but is not limited to, port clearance procedures, crew certification and administration, maritime legislation and legalities, accounting procedures and VAT knowledge and implications, charter agreements and APA accounts, destination management considerations and itinerary planning, and vessel, guest and crew logistics.

Students have one year of access to the learning platform, irrespective if they complete the course earlier. However, from September 2021, Purser Trainer has announced that continued access may be purchased for a small annual fee upon completion of each student's enrolled year on the learning platform. The annual subscription will allow certified students to remain on the learning platform and access the course material to refresh their knowledge and stay informed about any updates made during the year.
