Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the State of Qatar, the Qatar Boat Show will run from 16th to 20th November. It will feature multiple entrances and a new registration process, as well as enhanced security and health arrangements in addition to observing the national COVID-19 precautions. It will be the only boat show to open this year in the Middle East.
The announcement was made at a press conference yesterday, held by Khalid Bin Issa Al Mannai, the chairman of Al Mannai Plus Events, the sole organiser of the show, in The Oyster at The Pearl-Qatar.
Al Mannai added that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the show had been postponed from its original dates in March this year. He said, “In Qatar by the grace of Almighty God, we are able to sustain the organisation of the show with the valuable support of our partners, local exhibitors and the prestigious sponsors of the show.”
He paid his gratitude and thanks to the United Development Company (UDC) as strategic partner as well as The Pearl-Qatar and Ronautica Middle East as official hosts of the show, in addition to the Ministry of Interior and the Coast Guard for their cooperation and support.
Loay Dalis, chief executive officer of Al Mannai Plus Events, said that the annual luxury boat show has been organised since 2013 in Qatar by Al Mannai Plus Events.
He went on to note that the show provides a window on the possibilities of the luxury lifestyle of boating enthusiasts in the region. Qatar represents a regional hub for highly skilled craftsmanship and the latest boats and marine-related accessories. He said that the visitors to the exhibition will see high-quality, locally manufactured boats, together with a display of other international brands, and that 39 exhibitors will be showcasing various marine-related products.
He thanked the sponsors of this year’s Qatar International Boat Show, including UDC, The Pearl-Qatar and Ronautica Middle East, in addition to Qatar Airways; Vodafone; Milaha; Qatar Free Zone Authority; Bentley Qatar and all partners of the show for this exceptional edition.
He also paid thanks to his team for putting all their efforts into making the event possible to organise successfully despite the many hurdles due to the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on travelling and movements.
