In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
Mallorcan marina management specialist Ocibar has acquired the Port Tarraco marina from the Qatari Diar fund. The Port Authority of Tarragona has been given the green light for sale, with which Ocibar will incorporate the marina into its portfolio, which already includes Port Adriano (Mallorca), Ibiza Magna and Marina Botafoc (Ibiza).
Qatari Diar bought Port Tarraco in 2011 for €65 million (£55m) and closed 2019 with record occupancy. Antonio Zaforteza, CEO of Ocibar, commented, “The incorporation of Port Tarraco allows us to expand our offer with greater lengths and offer our port infrastructure in the Balearic Islands to Tarragona customers.”
Ocibar will work to bring the ‘local economy closer to the business opportunities offered by vessels of great length’, ‘strengthen the office area in Port Tarraco’ and ‘contribute to the integration of the port with the city of Tarragona’. Ocibar has 30 years of experience in the construction and management of recreational port facilities.
In recent times, the movement and occupation in Port Tarraco had reached 100 per cent for the first time during the summer of 2018. Last year also saw periods of time where the port was at maximum capacity.
