Heavenly Daze, first built by Feadship in 1972, will now commence her summer charter season following successful sea trials. She is set to attract plenty of attention following her impressive and much-anticipated refit.
The boat arrived at Pendennis at the end of September for her winter refit. The project’s main focus was an interior restyle applied to her VIP Suites, guest cabins, main saloon and dining area to blend contemporary design with her classic heritage.
Pendennis’ refit included a Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA) annual survey and general maintenance works with isolated deck, hull and tank repairs and a top side repaint. Her bridge electronics, steering system and stabilisers were also overhauled.
The vessel has long been held in high regard in the charter market, and Heavenly Daze’s owner has paid plenty of attention to getting the most out or her comprehensive refit which was project managed by Captain Jamie Painter.
“Although there was a tight deadline on the series of works outlined in the initial brief we formed a close relationship with the team at Pendennis and the design team at Wetzels Brown during the very early stages of the project,” said Captain Painter.
“Once Heavenly Daze embarks on her charter season it will be extremely beneficial that Pendennis will be able to further support the yacht in the Mediterranean via their refit facility in Palma.”
The vessel’s interior has been refitted with an all-new modern classic interior by Wetzels Brown of Amsterdam, Netherlands. Her exterior has been repainted and re-varnished with considerable repairs.
Under Heavenly Daze’s hull, the craft’s technology includes stabilisers by Vosper, two Caterpillar 37kw generators and 8,000 Litres of freshwater capacity.
The boat has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, a 13 knots maximum speed and 11.5 knots cruise speed, and a range of 2,300 nautical miles at 11 knots. She holds eight owners/guests and six crew.
