UK yacht design studio, Rhoades Young Ltd. has unveiled their latest superyacht concept – a 49-metre Classic Explorer yacht.
The design appears to have been inspired by the heritage and legacy of classic workboats, and as with the studio’s previous superyacht, ‘Bystander’, which was launched in 2006, has been developed with meticulous attention to detail.
Her strong forward superstructure creates large social aft areas, as well as space for two tenders that are up to 9m in length with one of the most notable features of her design being a four-storey staircase in the centre of the yacht, which begins on the bridge deck and is lit from above by the exterior ‘funnel’.
She accommodates up to 12 guests in total, as well as a crew of up to 12. Guest accommodation includes a VIP suite on the main deck, featuring “his and hers” bathrooms and a private study, which can be converted to an additional guest cabin when necessary.
The upper deck is home to an extensive owner’s suite, which comes with a 180-degree view, a large private deck with an inside/outside saloon and a private study.
