In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
Ferretti Group have announced their new steel and aluminium creation; 50m Riva M/Y. The M/Y is being crafted at superyacht yard Ancona, and will be launched in 2018. The idea was apparently conceived by Carlo Riva himself in the mid-70s. CEO Alberto Galassi said the new superyacht will “conquer the sophisticated and demanding taste of future owners of a Riva Yacht all around the world”.
Comprised of 4 decks, the yacht will have a maximum of nine beans and can sleep 12 people over all. The master suite is preceded by a VIP cabin, and four VIP suites are situated on the lower decks. Crew have four cabins available, and the captain stays in a cabin on the upper deck.
The Large beach club at the stern is capable of accommodating a Williams Dieseljet 625 tender, and the Bow houses a living area and a second garage with a hatch leading to the rescue boat. There will be two jet skis at the foredeck which will be launched by carbon davit. Ahead of the cold room and storage on the lower deck room is the galley; this allows all decks to be served conveniently by a dumbwaiter.
The M/Y is the successor to Caravelle, Atlantic, Marco Polo and Vespucci M/Ys, all of which had customisable interior and layout, a trait the new yacht will share.
The superyacht yard Ancona is used by Ferretti Group to construct innovative yachts 29-90m long in light alloy, steel and fibreglass yachts for CRN, Pershing, Custom Line and Riva. This new design is the result of a partnership between Officina Italiana Design, the studio founded by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta that designs the entire Riva range, Riva SYD Engineering, the team of engineers that works on the engineering of the new Riva superyachts, and Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee.
Alberto Galassi, CEO at Ferretti Group said “Today was a memorable day for Riva, and we are happy we have started to write a new chapter in our history that began over a hundred years ago. I am proud to be leading a group of true professionals who are turning the dream of Carlo Riva into something tangible.
“We took up his idea for an ambitious and adventurous feat of engineering and focused on building this magnificent fleet of super yachts in steel.
“The Riva 50m offers a superlative experience, with the mark of comfort, elegance and nautical art-values that have been the hall-mark of the brand for the last 175 years. The new superyacht is a naval masterpiece offering superior quality and cutting edge design, incorporating the most innovative technological solutions with an apparelled sense of elegance and style, to fulfil the expectations of any owner…”
