Rosetti Superyachts adds two new custom concepts to its fleet

Following its recent break into the superyacht market, Rosetti Superyachts chose the 2018 Palm Beach International Boat Show to present two new additions to its custom fleet in the shape of 48-metre ‘pocket’ Supply Vessel (157-foot) and 85-metre (279-foot) superyacht with design by Tommaso Spadolini. 

With elegantly understated exterior styling and signature strip windows, the 48m Supply Vessel is a sub-500GT, ‘pocket-sized’ version of Rosetti’s first 85m Supply Vessel, which can be built to Ice Class criteria if required.

On board, an open-aft deck of almost 18m in length provides adventurous owners with the required space for carrying large tenders, or for touch-and-go helicopter operations. Alternatively, it can be used as an open-air beach club with infinity pool, socialising spaces and entertainment features, with a second spa pool set on the sundeck.

In terms of interior layout, owners can choose to have the master stateroom on the upper deck overlooking a private aft deck, or a full-beam suite on the main deck forward with study, separate walk-in wardrobes and ‘his and hers’ bathrooms. In this version, the upper deck serves as a skylounge with al fresco dining facilities. The accommodation for eight guests on the lower deck comprises four generous cabins with en-suite bathrooms.

Powered by twin MTU 12V2000M72 engines or by 2x CAT C32, the 48m Supply Vessel will have a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots. 

Fulvio Dodich, partner and chairman at Rosetti Superyachts, commented, “Incorporating the philosophy of our 85m Supply Vessel into a 48m yacht of less than 500GT was quite a challenge. It meant optimising the interior and exterior layout to ensure efficient use of space, while maintaining independent circulation flows for guests and crew.  At the same time, we were able to offer custom options to suit the lifestyles of different owners and enhance the yacht’s flexibility.” 

At 2,700GT, the 85m superyacht concept is based on the same Rolls Royce technical platform as Rosetti’s original Supply Vessel, with minor modifications made to account for the different weight distribution of the superstructure.

With a host of bespoke amenities, the standout feature of the 85 metre is her enormous beach club and wellness area on the lower deck. Housing a gym with a panoramic glass wall overlooking the swim platform, plus massage room, sauna and hammam, the beam is extended to 19m with her two side terraces deployed. The adjacent large garage can hold two tenders and an array of water toys. 

The lower deck also houses the galley and crew area, while the tank-top deck level houses additional cold and dry stores, a workshop, and laundry and linen storage rooms to support her during long periods at sea.
 
The master stateroom on the upper deck forward covers 123sqm, excluding the ‘his and hers’ bathrooms. The suite has been designed to be completely separate from the guest areas with independent access to a private swimming pool and the touch-and-go helideck. The guest pool is set on the main deck aft. Four guest cabins and a full-beam VIP suite are located on the main deck forward to take advantage of the large windows.

She is powered by a diesel-electric propulsion package comprising four MTU 16V 4000 M43S engines combined with two Rolls Royce Azipull thrusters for optimal hydrodynamic efficiency and low noise and vibration. She will have a top speed of 20 knots and a range of 5,500nm at a cruising speed of 15 knots. 

Designer Tommaso Spadolini said of the designs, “Simplicity and elegance are the leitmotifs of the exterior design. Whereas the Supply Vessel has more utilitarian lines befitting her explorer vocation, the superyacht has a softer, more sinuous profile, while the reverse bow adds a hint of determination and aggression.”
 
“This is a high-volume superyacht that offers huge owner and guest spaces, both inside and out,” says Dodich. “But as always, we can offer bespoke solutions. We’ve developed a version with four decks instead of five, for example, which reduces the gross tonnage and provides a more sporty profile. It’s completely up to the individual client.”
