Rossinavi and Gian Paolo Nari announce Maverick 55 concept

Italian yard Rossinavi has announced a new partnership with designer Gian Paolo Nari, and revealed their first joint superyacht concept named Maverick 55 at the Monaco Yacht Show last week.

The 55.2m explorer yacht is based on a hull developed by Arrabito Naval Architects. It features high bulwarks and an almost vertical prow, ideal for extended periods at sea and for ploughing through rough waters. Other features include a fold-out beach club and a central staircase leading up to a panoramic lounge.

The large deck upstairs can facilitate a touch-and-go helipad and numerous large seating arrangements, while four rectangular parasols shade the entire area.

Situated on the upper deck is a spa pool, adjacent bar area and a telescopic lounge area that rises up to the observation deck, where slender railings ensure there is minimal interruption to the panoramic views.

The style in the saloon is one of opulence, with a large C-shaped layout of seating, Trussardi cushions and a star-lit lighting design. The staterooms have been realised in a similar way, with chaises lounges, quilted wall linings and rich wooden flooring.

Accommodation is available for up to 14 guests and split across seven cabins, while the crew quarters allow for a staff of 12.

Maverick 55 will be powered by a pair of Caterpillar 3512C engines allowing for a top speed of 16 knots and a range of 6,000 nautical miles at a 15-knot cruise, drawing on a fuel capacity of 150,000 litres.

There is currently no suggestion as to when the concept is due to hit the water.

Other superyacht projects under development at Rossinavi include the 70m King Shark, which is due to launch in 2020.
