Rossinavi has launched its 49m superyacht Aurora, marking its second launch in the space of two months.
Known as both Project FR034 and Longitude 47 before she was lengthened during the build stages by 2.2m, Aurora was lowered into the water at Rossinavi’s Viareggio shipyard earlier this week, showcasing a sporty and sleek design by Fulvio de Simoni and Arrabito Naval Architects.
Fulvio de Simoni explained, “An innovative architecture allowed us to develop a sporty yacht with unusual proportions.” He described the yacht as having “a unique personality and a determination to a clean and pure design”.
The all-aluminium, semi-displacement superyacht has lines inspired by performance cars. On board, she will have a large garage capable of housing two tenders, two Jet Skis, scuba diving equipment and a range of water toys.
She has a spacious interior volume of 500GT designed by Achille Salvagni, and can accommodate 12 guests across six staterooms, including a panoramic owner’s suite and VIP suite set on the main deck, each with their own private decks measuring 55m2.
Federico Rossi, CEO of Rossinavi said, “The Longitude 47 is a unique boat in its design – the large spaces available on board are usually expected on displacement yachts with classic lines.”
Aurora is powered by twin MTU 4000 M93L engines, pushing her to a top speed of 21 knots and a respectable cruising speed of 17 knots at half load. At a speed of 12 knots she will reportedly achieve a cruising range of around 3,8000nm on one tank of fuel.
Delivery is expected to take place before the end of the year.
