Rossinavi’s 63m project Vector construction update

In late 2014, Rossinavi revealed brief details of its latest 62m superyacht project, hull FR031, on which construction was said to be underway for launch in 2017.

Other than her measurements, further details of the project remained a closely guarded secret, but Rossinavi has recently revealed the name of the project as Vector, as well as new concept renderings and details of the build.

Construction started at Rossinavi in 2015 for an American owner. Designed in collaboration with Team For Design, she is a semi-displacement full aluminium vessel, with accommodation for up to 12 guests and 13 crew members.

Rossinavi has likened her to a cross between a traditional trideck and a sleek speedboat, with ample space on board and a high performance output. As such, she will reach a top speed of around 28 knots, powered by four 2,640hp MTU engines and four Rolls Royce KaMeWa water jets. She will also be able to achieve a transatlantic range at a cruising speed of 15 knots.

Weighing in at 800GT, and with a beam of 11m, she will offer great comfort on board. Arrabito Naval Architects provided the naval architecture for the design, which will meet RINA’s Green Plus classification requirements, seeing her pertain to environmental protection in her on-board equipment and operational procedures. Emissions, sewage, grey water and anti-fouling systems are among the considered systems.

Team For Design also worked on the interior styling of the vessel, but these details and renderings are still being kept under wraps.

Having recently reported thriving activities at the yard, Rossinavi is operating at nearly full capacity with six projects under construction. These include new projects in the 65m+ market, with three different propulsion configurations.
