SABDES designs 125m version of their iconic ‘Project X’

Australian yacht design studio SABDES has created a new concept for a 125m superyacht based on their 'Project X' scalable platform, which was recently seen shortlisted in the Yacht and Aviation Awards 2014.

The new 125m SABDES 'X' retains the same proportions as their larger 145m design by decreasing slightly the 'tween deck heights. The new features include; a revised forward owner’s deck with glass bulwark reveals, a longer forward enclosed bow lounge, a transom boarding deck with sliding hull transom security doors, and three large circular hull windows for the VIP cabins.

SABDES has also explored three different bow options; the knife bow shown, a conventional flared bow with bulb below the waterline and also a combination flared/knife where the stem turns vertically down into a knife directly below the hull knuckle.

SABDES  work closely with some of the most famous yacht builders to ensure each of their designs is at the forefront of technical innovation and styling. The new 125m SABDES 'X' was no different with various well-known yacht builders already successfully evaluating the design.
