Sanlorenzo delivers SL102 Asymmetric superyacht

Italian yacht builder Sanlorenzo has delivered its 31.1-metre (102-foot) SL102 Asymmetric superyacht.

Since first being premiered at Cannes Yachting Festival in 2018, the SL102 has been delivered to Singapore following an official launch party. She will be based in Singapore, cruising around Southeast Asia.

Nick Stratton, Sanlorenzo Asia sales manager, commented, “A new yacht arriving is always an exciting day for all involved and especially so in the case of the first SL102 Asymmetric. It’s wonderful to see the yacht in Asia and cruising the region. Now in Singapore and having already been cruising we look forward to following the many adventures on board.”

The yacht’s asymmetric design concept was born in 2015 when the yard announced its partnership with American car designer Chris Bangle. However, Zuccon International Studio was given the responsibility of its development.

SL102’s distinctive design characteristics include a single side deck paired on the other side with a widebody design, resulting in a protected passage for crew to undergo mooring operations, shielded from the elements. On the opposite side, the guest accommodation line up with the bulkhead as in any widebody style, providing the option to expand square footage of the living area by around 25 square metres.

The master cabin of the yacht is situated forward, with a starboard side door approaching the single side deck. There is the option to have a gate that deploys at the touch of a button if the owner wishes to enjoy the complete forward area in complete privacy.

The yacht is expected to be able to reach a top speed of around 28-29 knots, dependent on the choice of engines (twin 16V MTU M86 or the upgrade M96).
