In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
Sarp Yacht, a new Turkish shipyard, has launched its very first superyacht, 46m Sarp 46.
Built at Sarp’s Antalya facility, Sarp 46 features interior design by British designer Adam Lay Studio, and exterior design by Taka Yacht design. The shipyard describes her as having the “quality of a Northern European yacht with the price tag of a Turkish yacht.”
Tanju Kalaycioğlu of Taka Yacht Design commented, “Her shape and size are carefully refined to stay just below the 500GT mark. Steel was the obvious choice for a strong and reliable hull with ample tank capacity. However we opted for epoxy composite to construct our curvy superstructure. This way, we could save weight from superstructure and fairing compound.”
According to Adam Lay Studio, the interior layout of Sarp 46 is intended to “make a sophisticated statement with a strong visual impact”. Her design takes inspiration from a range of natural materials and textures, with a palette of rich dark bronzes, silvers and grey stained ash veneer. Cabin décor can also be customised to suit the owner.
In terms of the exterior, her composite superstructure is designed to make future repairs easier and dampen noise and vibration. Emre Sandan, shipyard manager at Antalya explained, “It’s a complicated shape and using aluminium could lead to problems down the road.”
