Sea-Things launches new Ocean & Yachting Video Portal

Sea-Things LLP who produce a range of eco-friendly carrying bags for the yachting and water sports market, have announced a brand new website www.sea-things.tv

The company, which is from the same stable as The Islander Yachting Magazine for The Balearic Islands, has been very active in promoting the concept of ocean preservation, and particularly in highlighting the huge damage done to the world´s seas and their inhabitants, by the scourge of carelessly discarded thin single use plastic bags.

Peter Franklin who is managing partner of Sea-Things and Editor of The Islander said; “We are first and foremost a nautical media company, our customised carrying bags are just like our publication, in that they carry messages about marine companies, and their care for the ocean environment, helping to extend their images out into the yachting community.  We are passionate about the sea and all the variants of leisure pursuit that it enables, as are all of the people that work with us and contribute to our business.”

Peter continued; “Being regularly in touch with so many people in the yachting world, we are always being offered excellent quality video material featuring regattas, ocean races,  boat shows and forums etc. And since we started Sea-Things last year, we have been amazed by the amount of truly authoritative, educational material that is available to help us learn about the wonder of the oceans. Some of them also serve to remind us of the fact that we are charged with the duty of care for them, and are actually the only ones that can preserve them and their wonderful array of sea creatures for future generations.”

Sea-Things.tv combines all of this material into a varied collection of quality videos, which have been categorised into easily identifiable play lists for ease of navigation and to encourage the interest and enjoyment of viewers.

When logging on to the sea-things.tv home page viewers will find the main play list headers are as follows:

For the Oceans: (Educational and documentary videos about ocean preservation.)
On the Oceans: (Regattas, races, sea-trials, and cruising videos.)
Towards the Oceans: (Boat shows, conferences, yachting forums etc.)
Ocean Bitology: (Other nautical bits and pieces of general interest.)

In addition to the main play list headers there are a number of other channels dedicated to specialist international subjects and events such as; The America’s Cup, The Volvo Ocean Race, Sea Shepherd  ((International non-profit, marine wildlife conservation organisation), Sailors for the Sea (Educating the boating community in the protection of the oceans) and The Superyacht Channel. (Specialised superyacht related films by YachtsXL)

Peter Franklin concluded; “ Its our intention to go on building the video data base and to keep the play lists relevant, varied, educational and enjoyable for all lovers of the sea. That of course includes yachtsmen (motor or sail) and water sports enthusiasts in general."

"We will in time allow sponsored advertising as long as it is ethical and relevant to our content.  We will not have annoying compulsory log in processes to deal with, as want it to be as easily accessible as possible, and just like our boating magazine it will always be FREE!. But, we will encourage subscribers to let us know who they are if they so wish, and to leave comments, feedback or suggestions for relevant content material.  We can be contacted via the website or by e.mail at [email protected]
