SeaScape modular floating villas make living in remote sites easier

BMT Asia Pacific (BMT), experts in naval architecture, has recently unveiled a coastal living concept that promises a flexible and readily deployable experience to luxury homeowners and developers around the world.

Entitled SeaScape, this concept of floating villas features clean lines and open air spaces, which are housed on a stylised triangular pontoon base. Each villa – or module – can exist standalone, or as part of a larger integrated complex, by simply connecting together edge-to-edge, producing a number of possible arrangements.

Richard Colwill, managing director at BMT Asia Pacific explained the idea behind SeaScape. He said, “In the hotel and tourism industry, we know we need to offer not only a unique experience, but also competitive costs and feasible deployment and operation.”

SeaScape is the new modular sister of the recognisable Sea-Suite; a series of egg-shaped floating villas and beach cabins, which were developed in 2013. After noting interest in Sea-Suite by luxury homeowners and developers worldwide, BMT evolved the SeaScape design in order to provide a solution to the logistical challenges of long-distance shipping and installation in the most remote parts of the world.

Richard continued, “Our new series of floating villas demonstrates that it is possible to offer exceptional luxury through a simple, yet elegant modular design.”

The 4m cylindrical underwater bedroom is just one of the unique features of the SeaScape, and the pre-fabricated parts are easily shippable allowing for simpler and more cost effective construction.

“We are very pleased to be introducing SeaScape to the luxury market. This addition to BMT’s Floating Villas portfolio offers even more options and flexibility to our customers to develop an unforgettable holiday experience.”
