Yachting Pages has put several of the leading safety cases (and other associated products) to the test. The objective: to ascertain how each product performs and determine which one is best equipped to safely contain a lithium battery-induced fire.
The second Palma Seafarers Supper will be taking place on Friday 15th October, at the ca n’Eduardo restaurant in Palma de Mallorca.
The organisation behind the Palma Seafarers Supper, The Superyacht Charities, was established in 2012. Following growth and success, the charity is now a registered foundation with a main purpose of generating funding for charitable causes from donations and support from the superyacht industry.
Over the years, the Palma Seafarers Supper event has supported many charitable causes associated with the yachting industry. For this event they plan to raise money for the two local charities that were supported in 2019, Fundacion Shambhala and Yachting Gives Back, as well as for their SYC Action Fund.
Ticket reservations are a strong seller, with a great mix of island visitors, senior crew and local businesses anticipated to enjoy the networking and chat at the drinks reception, a Mallorquin meal and lively entertainment. The event expects to attract the full breadth of the superyacht industry, to have fun and raise funds for the selected worthy causes.
This year the Palma Seafarers Supper will be extending the fun with a relaxed informal brunch, to be held at The Boathouse in Palma the following morning. Food and drink will be made available, and those attending will be encouraged to relax in the sun with some light music and friends.
