SNIP continues to offer yacht maintenance courses to marginalised groups

Superyacht painting specialist, Servicios Nauticos Integrados Palma (SNIP), has renewed its agreement for the fourth consecutive year with non-profit organisation, Cáritas Mallorca. Its aim is to promote, guide and coordinate volunteering and social justice in Mallorca, with a special dedication to the care of vulnerable, disadvantaged and excluded people.

José Bauza, CEO and Owner of SNIP, said, “SNIP has a strong social commitment to help vulnerable people at risk of exclusion. We do this by teaching them what we do best: painting yachts.”

The fourth edition starts on the 29th September 2020 and includes specific training in several companies for a total of approximately 230 hours, followed by apprenticeships in established companies in the industry. The course will have two parallel work groups to comply with coronavirus health regulations.

On an island considered the heart of yachting, there are very few yacht painting schools in Palma de Mallorca. SNIP offers unique training to people in need to help support the economy.

Special thanks to Club Nautico del Arenal for donating the space, SNIP for providing teaching and classes, supply companies and everyone else involved in the project.
