STARS’N’BARS Monaco overhauls its visual identity and business strategy

STARS’N’BARS, Monaco’s first sports bar and family-friendly restaurant, has updated its corporate logo and business strategy to bring the brand into the 21^st century.

According to the restaurant’s co-founders Kate Powers and Didier Rubiolo, the new logo keeps the original five-point star and text but replaces a “red, white and blue” theme with a more up-to-date “eco” blue/green palette to represent the colours of land and sea, alongside a more contemporary typeface.

The original STARS’N’BARS logo has undergone minimal changes since its inception by Monaco artist Marie De Bruyne 24 years ago, before the restaurant first opened in 1993.

With strong links to the Monaco community, STARS’N’BARS has always served customers of all ages and backgrounds. “We’ve always wanted to be more than a restaurant and ‘give back’ to the principality”, says Kate.

More of a focus has been placed on sustainability, with Didier commenting, “Any company wishing to be successful in today’s economy has to recognise its commitment to its customers’ well-being and to the planet.  Consumers around the world are demanding this, but it’s also the right thing to do. We still make the best burgers and TexMex, but we now offer our customers other choices.
