Sunseeker International’s second 155 spotted at Poole Quay

The second ever Sunseeker 155, the company’s largest yacht to date, has emerged from the factory at Poole Quay. 

Photos were taken by nearby resident, Peter Plucknett, who reportedly also saw the covers come off of the yacht several days prior to seeing it out of the factory. He commented, “I looked out the window and thought ‘It’s on the move’. Now it’s in its cradle, ready to go out in the water some time soon. I’ve heard they’ve got orders for another two, but this is only the second.”

The first 155 from Sunseeker was bought by Formula One’s Eddie Jordan back in 2014, and whilst the identity of the buyer for this second model remains a secret, Sunseeker has said that the buyer is taking full advantage of the bespoke service offered by the firm, meaning there will be key differences to the first 155.

The master stateroom on the vessel will feature floor-to-ceiling glass, along with two double guest cabins and engines more powerful than its sister yacht.

In a recent statement, Sunseeker described the 155 as the largest and most advanced yacht that they have ever produced. They explained, “Accommodating up to 12 guests and 10 crew in sublime surroundings, the 155 yacht has both style and space in abundance.

“Ideally suited for long distance cruising, the latest generation of hull design allows the 155 to effortlessly reach the previously unreachable. A sublime example of design and engineering, every detail, feature and interior space is nothing short of extraordinary.”

Recently, Sunseeker announced that 225 skilled staff would be hired in Dorset, up from the previously announced 100 in order to cope with their forthcoming plans for several new models of yacht having created a ‘very strong’ order book for 2016, including the 131 revealed last Autumn.
