Suntex Marinas partners with Valiant Holdings to create new marina and refit facility

Suntex Marinas has joined forces with Valiant Holdings LLC to acquire Ocean Marine Yacht Center in Portsmouth, Virginia, where they will work to develop a new marina and refit facility that will cater to megayachts.

Suntex Marinas, which currently owns and operates 25 marinas in the United States and Caribbean, will enhance services and amenities at the facility, creating a brand new Ocean Yacht Marina. Ocean Marine Yacht Center will continue to be operated by Jim Bento of Valiant Holdings, via a leaseback of the megayacht repair facilities to Suntex Marinas.

The newly formed Ocean Yacht Marina and Marine Center will have a full-service marine yard capable of handling yachts up to 305ft dockside, a state-of-the-art refit and paint facility, and over 50,000 square feet of indoor, climate-controlled bays. It will also include a number of new features including a high-traffic coastal facility with 112 wet slips and 275 dry rack slips, as well as convenient access via land or water.
