Superyacht designer Nick Mezas unveils new concept for Amels

Dutch superyacht designer and former Young Designer of the Year Nick Mezas, has unveiled a new concept for Amels.

Designs for the 74m motoryacht reflect a vessel that offers ‘long-distance cruising in complete comfort’, according to Mezas. Close attention was paid to ensuring great sea views, with low bulwarks and slanted knuckles included in the design for the bridge deck and sundeck.

If built by Amels, the concept would be the shipyard’s fourth largest.

Accommodation is available for up to 12 guests on board, with a dedicated owner’s deck featuring his and hers en-suites, walk-in wardrobes and a private office. Two VIP cabins are then housed on the main deck, with three further doubles on the lower deck.

Standout features on board the concept include a large 180sqm aft deck that includes a bar, dance floor and infinity pool. There is a sunbathing area located on the aft-deck which doubles up as a helipad, and further relaxation spaces located on the sun deck alongside a Jacuzzi. A beach club then includes foldout terraces, as well as a wellness centre.
