In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
An electrical technical engineer (ETO) currently working on board a 90-metre+ (295-foot+) yacht has launched Crewin - a new website that contains crew profiles and job listings, allowing agents and recruiters to connect with crew on a trusted platform.
Captains and recruiters often advertise job roles on Facebook. However, as the yachting industry is increasingly becoming a more desirable place to work, it is often difficult to keep track of the high volume of comments, messages and emails. Crewin saves employers time and helps them reach a network of hundreds of thousands of potential candidates. Candidates apply directly on the platform and can be shortlisted, rejected or contacted immediately.
Free for all crew, the platform allows yacht job seekers to apply to multiple jobs hosted by various yachts and agencies, eliminating the need to join multiple agency websites. During the application process, candidates’ CVs are not required. Instead, the platform uses the candidate’s data to generate a printable/digital CV. That way, recruiters see a uniform layout when viewing candidates.
The direct messaging feature allows recruiters to contact candidates directly through the platform, rather than having to move on to WhatsApp or email, which can often give away the name of the yacht. As well as this, the messaging feature creates a safe space for crew to contact verified employers without the need of sharing personal contact details, and it ensures crew are not scammed or duped by fake job posts.
Crewin strives to make employment easier for recruiters through its digital notes function. For example, if a recruiter comes across a candidate that would be great in a particular role, but not the position they have applied for, the notes function allows them to write a reminder note.
