Superyacht reality show returns for season two

US cable and satellite TV channel Bravo, has recently announced that its popular superyacht docu-series show “Below Deck” will be returning for a second series this summer.  The show follows a group of superyacht crew members living and working on board a charter yacht during the 2014 Caribbean summer season.

It provides an inside look into how superyacht crew are tasked with rigorous and challenging service levels and shows the extensive amount of hard work required when working on a luxury yacht. Amongst this, it also shows some of the perks available to superyacht crew when on board some of the world’s most luxurious of vessels.

The first season proved a success in terms for viewing figures, followed charter crew over the course of a five week period in the Caribbean, who were on board the 50m (160 feet) Benetti M/Y Cuor di Leone (renamed ‘Honour’ for the purposes of the charter).

After filming had finished, ‘Cuor di Leone’ was taken off of the charter market and sold, meaning that a suitable replacement was required in time for the Caribbean yacht charter season.

It has also been announced that for the second season, the yacht used for the show will be M/Y Ohana, a 46.9m (153 feet) motor yacht built by Admiral Marine Works in 1998.

Season two will show M/Y Ohana travelling around the British Virgin Islands during the summer season of 2014. Last refitted in 2011, Ohana has many luxurious features including a circular staircase, a six person Jacuzzi, many water toys including a waterslide and a devoted theatre system with a retractable screen.

The first episode of the second series is due to premiere on Bravo on Tuesday 12th August at 9pm ET/PT.
