In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
Tankoa Yachts has given a construction update on the fourth in-build S501 superyacht. The all-aluminium hybrid yacht is the sistership of the third hull in the series, Olokun, which is due for delivery at the end of November.
Under construction at the yard’s Genoa-based shipyard, the fourth hull is around 40% complete, with the hull and superstructure complete and joined. Preparations to begin outfitting are now underway, along with the installation of the main on-board machinery. Delivery of the yacht is due for late 2021.
The hybrid propulsion package has been developed by MAN in collaboration with Siemens and will feature three cruising modes: traditional diesel, diesel-electric and full electric.
Tankoa also revealed it is planning to increase its production facilities and is eyeing a property adjacent to its Genoa facility.
“We’re preparing to grow the company in a sustainable way to optimise operational costs and increase our market segment. We intend to continue building on speculation. Today’s clients don’t want to wait for up to three years to take delivery of a new yacht,” chief executive, Vincenzo Poerio said.
Tankoa revealed that work is underway on its T450 model, a 45-metre (148-foot) yacht designed by Giorgio M. Cassetta.
