Tansu Yachts’ Project Cutlass launched as ‘Sexy Fish’

39m superyacht ‘Sexy Fish’ has been officially launched by Tansu Yachts, having been built over four years under codename Project Cutlass.

Having completed her first sea trials earlier this week, the Turkish yard revealed that Sexy Fish was “super successful with a top speed beyond expectations.” She is a semi-displacement motor yacht with naval architecture completed by Diana Yacht Design and styling completed in-house.

The vessel was sold to a couple in March 2016 by David LeGrand of Fraser Yachts, who are described as being “passionate about art and design.” Legrande also commented on Tansu’s abilities as a yacht builder: “Providing the state of the art design, high quality construction, timely deliveries and reliable engineering, Tansu has proven itself as a world-class shipyard.”

According to reports, Sexy Fish features accommodation for ten guests which is split across five cabins. These include a master suite, two double rooms and two twin rooms. She also features an upper-deck sky lounge, which can be accessed via an internal staircase.

In terms of performance, Sexy Fish is powered by two Caterpillar C32 engines, able to reach a top speed of 16 knots and a maximum range of 3,500nm when cruising at a speed of 12 knots.
