The 87m M/Y Ace arrived at Portland Harbour with help from Andrew Weir Yacht Management

Andrew Weir Yacht Management was chosen to handle various services when the 87m Lurssen ACE recently arrived at Portland Harbour.  A call to the London offices of AWYM saw all hands on deck for the imminent arrival of ACE on the Dorset coast.

With the owners arrival already planned, AWYM had to make sure that all was in place for the hand over.

Daniel Taylor of Andrew Weir explained, “Getting everything ready and with limited time we had quite a number of challenges to accomplish.”

Working in conjunction with Portland Port the company ensured that the yacht was received and the berthing and mooring arrangements were in place.

“Once moored up on the quayside we organised delivery of final stores and certain items the owner wanted on board” added Daniel.

Crew transport and car hire, plus a limousine was also organised for the owner by AWYM.

Custom built earlier this year by Lurssen Yachts in Rendsburg (Germany); Ace was designed by Andrew Winch Designs.  She has a steel hull with an aluminium superstructure and accommodates up to 12 guests in six suites.
