Oxberry Risk Strategies Ltd., a security risk management company has announced the launch of the Maritime Tactical Security Manual. The manual is aimed primarily at company security officers and vessel masters, but also provides a valuable point of reference for shipping professionals that hold full or partial responsibility for vessel and crew safety within piracy-prone waters.
The company explained, “Whilst great strives and improvements have been made with the implementation of GUARDCON, we believe that those who might potentially require the services of an armed security team may be able to improve upon the quality and actual levels of service their vessels receive. But in order to realistically achieve this, we felt that it was only right and proper that personnel were provided with more detailed information about how the actual process works.”
