Tried & Tested: Yacht Duvets, Quilts and Pillows

Offered By CC Design

With thanks to CC Design

The life of yacht crew is not easy. For all the obvious - and well-publicised - advantages to undertaking a career aboard a superyacht, the hours are long, the work demanding and the clients even more so.

We at Yachting Pages want to make a difference, or at least help to make life on board a little less stressful. In our feature, Tried & Tested, we task market-leading brands to conduct real-world tests on essential yacht products and services and provide a comprehensive breakdown of their findings - so you don't have to.

Utilising all its industry experience and expertise, the brand independently rates and reviews each product in line with key criteria, providing an unbiased verdict on which products are best suited to life on board, saving you precious time, effort and energy.

In the third feature of the series, luxury bed and linen specialist CC Design reviews a selection of the finest bedding on the market, highlighting their pros and cons and crowning an overall Tried & Tested winner.

Belle Île, Toronto and Morzine Soft

There are three overall winners representing three varieties - synthetic duvets, down duvets and pillows. The Belle Île, Morzine Soft and Toronto bedding all performed well in test and have ultimately come out on top based on their quality and value for money.

CC Design's comments

The Belle Île synthetic duvet not only performed consistently well across each of the metrics we measured, but also represents good value for money - even if it's more expensive than other synthetic duvets generally. It uses top-quality fibres, and is well constructed, making it a cost-effective and reliable choice.

The Toronto down duvet is the highest scoring product, topping the class for four of the five of the metrics. It's more expensive than the Belle Île, but it's not extortionate and represents a very good down duvet.

Completing the set, the Morzine Soft pillow is the ideal accompaniment to any duvet. It scored well in all the right areas and - like the other winners - is good value for money. It is also available in a firm model, to cater to different preferences.
