Turquoise Yachts reveals new details of 74m project

Turkish yard Turquoise Yachts has announced that its 74-metre (243-foot) motor yacht project is progressing well, with the hull finished and the superstructure expected to be completed by the end of August 2018.

The project features “sleek, elegant exterior styling” by A. Vallicelli and C. Yacht Design, and an “innovative” interior developed by Ken Freivokh Design, who has worked to a brief of achieving integration between the decks and internal areas.

Discussing the contemporary interior design being implemented, Ken Freivokh commented, “The interior-design focus is on classical elegance. The idea is to achieve a layout that has complete integration between the decks and key internal spaces, with everything designed to maximise the continuity of the yacht’s lines as well as long sightlines.”

The central space in the yacht is a multi-deck atrium, centred around a spectacular spiral staircase, with the main entrance enjoying a double-height sculptural space. Saloons with panoramic views open to the sheltered aft decks, which boast lounging and dining areas and a swimming pool.

Key features include a full-beam upper sky lounge and bar, a massage room, and an expansive beach club, which opens aft to the swimming platform and out to the water on either side via shell doors that open to become extended platforms for closeness to the sea.

The tender garage gives access to a full-length 10.4m Pascoe limousine tender, as well as a multi-purpose guest tender, rescue tender forward and a number of Jet Skis.

Accommodation on board is for 12 guests split between an owner’s suite, with private deck and Jacuzzi, and six guest cabins. The crew quarters allow for up to 20 staff plus the captain.

Turquoise Yachts has developed clear segregation between guests and crew on board, to maximise the efficiency of circulation and allow the crew to carry out their duties without interrupting guest enjoyment. A dedicated staircase and pantries on the lower, main and upper decks help to ensure excellent service with minimal disruption.

Other superyacht projects currently under construction at the Turkish yard include the 80m Turquoise VY 80, which is due for delivery in 2019.
