UK superyacht uniform company expands to meet growing demand

One of the superyacht industries leading crew uniform suppliers, Taylor Made Designs, has moved locations to a new facility in the southwest of the UK. Now with a total of 8,500 square metres of space, the new facility allows Taylor Made Designs (TMD) to offer better than ever services to the superyacht industry.

Ed Taylor, managing director of Taylor Made Designs commented, “With the move, we can now hold an incredible range of stock, fulfil orders with a great turnaround time and offer even greater service flexibility to our customers. For example we can work on our embroidery machines 24 hours a day in order to offer a fantastic service.”

Ed went on to say, “Our clients expect the very best of everything, and why shouldn’t they. I would! They expect us to be able to supply any garment, any brand, embroidered, printed or plain.  They expect us to be able to pull together garments from a variety of different sources and deliver anywhere in the world as quickly as possible with no fuss.  They expect us to do this time and time again. Ideally, they want this all from one supplier, one point of contact.  That’s us, we’ve been doing this for 21 years and with our new premises we are able to maintain this service far more efficiently and on a greater scale.”

As from Friday 8th August, TMD has been officially operating from their new facility. Ed continued, “We started the move on the 7th of August and came up with a really tight, regimental schedule, which would ensure minimum down time for our work force here. We also worked through the night Thursday to ensure production continued, moving out of the old office, which only meant we lost two hours administration time on Friday morning. Production didn’t stop. Everything went really well, we managed to keep up to date with our current work load and now, we are looking forward to using the new facilities and the advantages it offers.

“The move helps TMD continue to grow and ensures we’re a substantial business in the superyacht industry which can offer not only custom solutions, online ordering and unlimited product resource but a true commitment to our clients and service expectations they desire.”
