Varador 2000 set to reveal new shipyard facilities

Spanish shipyard Varador 2000 will present the array of new services related to the extension of its refit and repair facilities at the Monaco Yacht Show 2018 (26th-29th September).

Customers and visitors will be able to find the company on the AL4 stand of the Quai Albert Ier.

The Arenys de Mar shipyard in Barcelona is undergoing various improvements, in order to cater for the needs of larger boats of up to 50 meters in length.

Once the extension of its technical esplanade is complete, the yard is set to double its operational area.

Key upgrades in the refit and repair shipyard include a new boiler-making workshop and the incorporation of naval carpentry, electronics, lamination, composites and upholstery facilities. A new paint unit for large boats, which is in the final stages of construction, will also be introduced.

Varador 2000 confirms that these new facilities will create a number of new jobs.

A new formula for winter storage, called QuaySide1835, has been developed by Varador 2000 and will allow the accommodation of new vessels under a winter storage regime. This new service for large yachts is unique on the north coast of Barcelona; it includes six or more months of dry storage, transport and total technical and logistical support from the company.

On its stand, the company will also promote other exclusive services it has developed, such as the Tender Clinic and the Teak Clinic.

The Tender Clinic is a new concept of maintenance and refit of big tenders up to 200 tons. The innovative idea offers a package of technical and logistical services as well as indoor and outdoor storage facilities equipped to house boats during the winter.

The objective of the Teak Clinic is to effectively cover the maintenance needs of teak surfaces on large boats, utilising high quality teak wood and professional personnel from the yard’s carpentry workshops.

Varador 2000 will also promote its nautical base for large lengths, - Mataró Marina. Situated on the north coast of Barcelona, the marina has 30 moorings for boats measuring between 20 and 60 metres, as well as a variety of facilities for guests and crew.
