In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
Veritais has been awarded the contract for the supply, installation, commissioning and support for the audio‐visual systems on board a 46m yacht designed by David Wright Design which is to be launched in August 2011. The award follows an eighteen‐month period of design and consultation that ensured that the system completely fulfilled the client’s needs and expectations.
The project is based around a Lantic Entertainment System featuring a 4 terabyte Raid 5 centralised media server, satellite TV distribution, internet and email access, audiophile components, full HD TVs and monitors, CCTV systems and cabling infrastructure.
The Lantic system provides the backbone to a complete entertainment solution with distribution of full HD 1080p Blu‐ray movies and music content throughout the vessel. In addition local Blu‐ray drives will also be installed in the master and guest cabins. Lantic’s full iPod integration will allow iPod menus to be displayed on‐screen for easy navigation and control using the iconic Lantic remote control in each zone.
A Lantic 5.1 surround sound system will be installed in the main saloon (shown above) using ‘hidden’ transducer loudspeaker technology and a 40” HD monitor on a motorised TV lift. Transducer speakers turn any flat surface such as a wall or table top into the speakers themselves by being attached to the underside and resonating through the material. They are ideal for any situation where the owner does not wish to have any visible components.
Each of the six guest cabins will have the full entertainment provision of Lantic’s centralised music and movie library, along with a local Blu‐ray drive and iPod dock, satellite TV and high‐quality audiophile loudspeakers.
Crew welfare has also been taken care of with 18‐inch TV/DVD units, satellite TV distribution plus local iPod in the Captain’s and Engineer’s cabins. The crew mess will have a full HD Blu‐ray system and 3.1 audio cinema system while the crew cabins will be fitted with a DVD/CD/iPod entertainment centre and an 8‐inch screen for each crew member. The CCTV system includes a digital video recording and playback facility and integrates fully with the main Lantic system.
All external areas will be equipped with premium waterproof audio components and remote controls, ensuring that the full suite of entertainment facilities is not limited to internal areas only.
Veritais will begin shipping the preliminary components over the next few weeks and project completion is due in June next year with boat to be launched in Turkey during August 2011.
